How old are you, Mommy?

Today's Braeden-ism:

Brady: Mommy, how old you is?
Me: Excuse me?
Brady: I am 3, how how is you?
Me: (Now laughing) You really want to ask a lady how old she is?
Brady: Tell me!
Me: I am 34. Happy?
Brady: Whoah! And I am only 3. That's a lot.

**Thanks, hun. You really made Mommy's day. =(**

No Pictures!

Add caption
Not sure what his issue was. He likes to prop himself up like this and then yells for me to come save him before he sinks to the floor. At this particular moment, he has decided to yell, "No Mommy! Don't take pictures of me while I am a bridge!"

Today's item of destruction....

Today's item of destruction:

A small tap light put next to his bed on the wall.

Brady's weapon of choice: His own hands!
What room: His bedroom.
When I asked him what happened: "The battery fell down in the hole!" (The floor register vent)

No idea how that made the light fall apart.

Oh, the things he breaks!

I am putting a new element into this blog to make it more interesting. Since my child insists on breaking something at least 2-3 times a day, I can't wait to show him this blog when he gets older to show him how destructive little boys are.

Today's item of destruction:
I went back in time to December 9, 2010. I had to do some digging to find this pic. To date, this is the most expensive thing he has destroyed.
This is what it looked like when it  was off.
This is what it looked like when it was on.

It was Brady, in the living room, and the weapon was a sippy cup that managed to fly through the air and take a direct hit on the large flat screen TV. I am sure Chad was not too mad. This TV had a purple pixel that was damaged on the right side of the screen anyway. Just an excuse for him to have the new (and bigger) TV he has today.

I grow up last night!

Brady cracks me up most of the time.

"Mommy, I am not a baby! I grow up last night!"

"Do you like Bumblebee cars, Mommy?"  (Referring to the Transformers Bumblebee.)

"What kind of car is that? What's that one? What's the logo on that one?" (This is to and from everywhere we drive. Constantly.)

"I can't button this up. I am too little. I didn't grow up last night."

"Mommy, is it Saturday time yet?"

Don't want to give them all away right off the bat. I wish all of my conversations with adults were this simple.

Back to blogging!

As most of you know, I haven't posted on here in awhile. Duh, my last entry was from back in March! Anyway...my husband and I have started the divorce process for reasons I will not make public. That's not my style. With that said, I have changed the format of my blogging, since this used to be a blog for our family events. I thought, what better place could I document the funny things coming out of my 3 year old's mouth. With him growing as well, it's a spot I can still post pictures of him doing his thing. The posts might be scattered, random thoughts. But, it's an experiment to see if I can get back to feeling like a regular Mommy and continue to show off my little monkey when I can. These days are going too fast. He's getting bigger and more funny, every day. Sorry if this blog isn't more interesting than it was. But, thanks for visiting!

Flower Basket Planting Time!

Every year at this time, we make our way down to Pahl's Market in Apple Valley with Chad's parents. They have a great deal where you get baskets and then go around the green house to pick out so many plants per basket.
The order to pick is:
  • Thriller ~ The very middle plant. It is supposed to be spiky or just plain bigger than the rest.
  • Filler ~ These are the flowers that have color. The more vibrant for me, the better!
  • Spiller ~ This is something vine-like or crawling that spills out over the side.
Yes, we usually buckle at the knees when it comes to our favorite sports team, the Vikings. So, we end up with purple and yellow flowers every year. This year we went a tad different on one basket. I am really excited for Mother's Day. It is usually about the time we get the call to come down and pick up the baskets that have by then become beautiful, big baskets of colors.
Braeden will NOT pass up popcorn...ever!
Not sure where I was the night before. But, I was lookin tired!
Braeden walking around to help grandpa and grandma pick out flowers.
Healthy morning snack of M&M's.

Grandpa always looks happy to be here!
